Gorgon Project: September 2013 Update

The Gorgon field is one of the largest gas fields ever discovered in Australia. Situated 70 km from Barrow Island and about 250 m below sea level, it is the world’s premier undeveloped hydrocarbon reserves. Like Jans, Gorgon will extend the envelope in sub-sea development by breaking new ground in the application of technology.

This Flyover Video for the project shows some great updated footage which includes the :

  • Horizontal Directional Drilling Site,
  • Onshore Pipeline,
  • C02 Injection Project,
  • WAPET Landing,
  • LNG Jetty,
  • Materials Offloading Facility (MOF),
  • Permanent Operations Facility (POF),
  • Ground Flare Facility, Gas Treatment Plant Site and Butler Park.
